Kayla graduated from Texas Tech University with her Bachelor of Interior Design with a minor in Architecture.  Upon graduation she joined Parkhill, Smith, & Cooper where she worked alongside experienced architects and interior designers on commercial projects throughout Texas.  Kayla took her NCIDQ (National Counsel for Interior Design Qualification) and passed in 2005. As a licensed Interior Designer Kayla designed spaces in various genres including healthcare, religion, education, and business.

Pausing her design career in order to devote more time to her family and to her church, Kayla stayed engaged in the design world through various commercial and residential projects.

Stephens Design & Consultation was launched in 2018 to provide commercial interior design services throughout West Texas. Services provided include:  floor plan documents, space planning, interior finish selections, and complete furniture, accessory and art packages.

Kayla resides in Midland, TX and has been married to her husband Daniel since 2001.  They have four children and a dog named Polly.
